WHAT IS THE FAIRFAX FOUNDATION?
The Fairfax Foundation’s purpose is to advance the health, education and welfare of people who work in, or have previously worked in, the media industry in Australia and their families. Financial support is provided to eligible applicants, including former employees and their families, who are in need and to assist with specific costs.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees, four who are appointed by the management of Nine and four who are elected by the employees of Nine. The trustees meet regularly to manage the Foundation’s assets, review applications and distribute funds. The Foundation is managed by the Executive Officer.
